We are a group of researchers from the University of Malaya who are interested in breast cancer research. Our team consists of a clinical oncologist and three pharmacists from Malaysia and Australia.
This is an educational website about breast cancer. We specifically focused on HER2 positive breast cancer as this type of breast cancer can be treated with monoclonal antibodies such as trastuzumab. As of today (13 November 2020), trastuzumab is the only monoclonal antibody that is available both as an original product and a biosimilar. This website helps to explain the differences between the original trastuzumab and its biosimilar which can then guide health care professionals and patients to make an informed decision regarding its use in the treatment of HER2 positive breast cancer. The creation of this website is supported by an international medical educational grant.
